Are you a candidate for breast enhancement surgery?

Breast enhancement surgery is the number one cosmetic surgery in the U. S. today. Over 300,000 procedures were performed in 2013 – so you are not alone if you are contemplating it. What are the issues you should consider?

First, you must be physically and mentally healthy, and have realistic expectations for the outcome of surgery. If you are battling anxiety or depression, or if you are in a rocky relationship, breast augmentation surgery is not the solution.

If, however, you are bothered by the changes that have occurred in your breasts over the years, from pregnancy, weight loss or aging, you may be the perfect candidate. Volume loss in the breast is very common, and there is no way to effectively re-build it through exercise or medications. Some women notice a flattening of the top of the breast; others are disappointed with their breasts’ elongated appearance.

Some women are naturally small-breasted and would like to have bigger breasts. Most women who choose breast augmentation increase their size by one or two cups. Hollywood starlets and supermodels might go for the knock-out effect, but it’s not the typical Mommy Makeover.

If you think breast augmentation might be right for you, seek a board-certified plastic surgeon, such as Dr. Ali, to perform the procedure. Dr. Ali will meet with you and formulate an individualized plan that takes into account your body frame and your desired outcome. His kind and compassionate nature, and his experience and expertise, will guide you to a successful outcome. Contact Dr. Ali today!

Breast Augmentation Patients Report High Satisfaction

Breast augmentation continues to be one of the most popular plastic surgeries and a study published in the May 2013 issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery shows that satisfaction rates are high. More than 91% of the 225 patients interviewed said the procedure met or exceeded their expectations and 98.7% indicated they would do it again. Furthermore, 91.1% of those surveyed reported increased self-esteem, and 64.3% reported improved quality of life.

Careful screening and the proper setting of expectations play a role in this level of satisfaction. Dr. Ali is very thorough and careful in assessing each patient’s health and expectations for the surgery. This insures that expectations and realistic and achievable.
