Preparing for Laser Hair Removal
For 2-3 days prior to treatment, discontinue any irritant topical agents such as alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, glycolic acids and retinols. These can be resumed one week after procedure.
For optimal evaluation for laser hair removal consultation, please do not shave the area prior to your initial appointment. However, please shave the area one to two days prior to your scheduled laser hair removal treatment, as the hair might get singed and leads to a more painful experience.
Treatment can be done on tanned skin, however sun exposure should be limited to 1 to 1½ weeks prior to treatment for maximum effectiveness. Darker or newly tanned skin types may require a patch test before treatment, with a minimum of 24 hours prior to actual service. No waxing or tweezing 6-8 weeks prior to initial treatment.
