What is Vaginal Laxity?
Just like skin, vaginal tissue is comprised of collagen fibers. Both the effects of time, and/or with physical damage, can cause the collagen to lose its strength and shape. This results in a feeling of looseness (laxity), especially around the vaginal opening.
Common causes of vaginal laxity include aging, vaginal childbirth and other stress on the tissue, and even lifestyle (such as weight gain or smoking). Vaginal laxity affects a woman’s quality of life in a number of ways, including loss of sexual sensation and satisfaction, as well as urinary incontinence.

How Viveve Tightens the Vagina
